Peanut Butter Banana Green Smoothie

Here is my new favorite green smoothie recipe, and it's so simple!

Ingredients:
  • 1 banana
  • 1.5 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (any milk will do-this is what I use)
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • ice
All all ingredients to a blender.  I use a Vitamix.  (affiliate link provided)

TIP:  I sliced a few bananas and froze them when they were nice and yellow, because I don't like over ripe bananas in smoothies.

My boys and I love green smoothies.  Here are a few of our favorite recipes:

  1. I have a question about your Vitamix: how well does it process the spinach? I have a Ninja (which I dislike, BTW), and it doesn't process the spinach enough that my 4-yo will drink a green smoothie (he won't drink a smoothie unless it is COMPLETELY smooth. Blueberries are also out).

Have you done any comparison studies? :)

    1. Before purchasing the Vitamix I have only have cheap blenders, so I can't compare too much. The Vitamix completely purees and smooths every last bit. I put so many veggies in our smoothies (cucumber, carrots, red pepper, spinach, kale, chard, etc., and my kids down them.) You have to blend long enough, of course, and then yes every bit is smooth. I LOVE my Vitamix.
