Ten Apples Up On Top - INSPIRED BY SEUSS WEEK

With the birthday of Dr. Seuss right around the corner (March 2) I thought it would be fun to have a week of activities inspired by his books.  After all, many of his books are at the top of our favorites list.  For day one I introduced a new one to the boys, thanks to a good friend for loaning it to us.

After reading Ten Apples Up On Top to the boys I grabbed a Costco sized tray of apples for us to play with.

We each tried balancing an apple on top of our heads.

Finally one stayed for as long as JZ could hold still.

J-Bug had better luck stacking the apples like blocks.

It was a great lesson in balance and distribution of weight.

JM decided eating would be more fun.

Next we took some apples outside, cut them in half and used them to paint.

JZ thought it was cool, but he isn't one to paint for long.

J-Bug, on the other hand, was fascinated by the apple prints.
