Sizing a Rainbow {Rainbow Craft for Preschoolers}

Shortly before Valentine's Day I saw this post from A Little Learning for Two about painting and sizing hearts.  We didn't have time to do it with hearts in February, but I put the idea in my back pocket for another day.  It occurred to me the other day that this would be the perfect way to make a RAINBOW.

I cut arches from an Amazon box and put them on a tray for J-Bug (3) with paint and brushes.  He painted each one a different color.

Next he ordered them by size.

He had fun with the glue, although he isn't as liberal with it as JZ.  I had to encourage him to add a bit more to ensure all the pieces would stick together.

This was a great project for color recognition, sizing, fine motor skills, and creativity all while having fun.
