Outdoor Water Balloon and Play Pool Fun!

Yay summer is just about here!  I love this time of year.  Water play is my favorite, and we've been enjoying it daily.  We've had a great time with water balloons this week, and I wanted to share one of the ways we've played.

Prep was simple:  Fill up a dozen balloons and put them in the kiddie pool.  Let their imagination take over from there!

They tried as hard as they could to drop them hard enough to break inside the pool.  Instead they succeeded in making giant splashes!

J-Bug had the idea to roll them down the slide.

I filled some traditional water balloons, and I also filled some regular balloons.  They had to really work to lift the heavier ones.

I guess we're done, LOL.

We love combining water balloons and water play, especially at bath time.  Most recently we made Glowing Water Balloons. What are your favorite ways to play with water balloons?

  2. Looks like so much fun! I recently saw a package of neon water balloons at the dollar store. This makes me want to go by there tonight and buy them before bath time. Thanks for the idea! :)
