Green Smoothie Recipe
It's been a long time since I've posted a green smoothie recipe! This one is my current favorite.
Ingredients:
- plain Greek yogurt
- I make my own using this crockpot recipe from A Year of Slow Cooking. (Tip-I let mine cook a couple hours longer than the suggested time.)
- spinach (kale works great, too)
- cucumber
- frozen raspberries (strawberries are tasty, too)

I add everything to the Vitamix
and blend! If you don't have a Vitamix
or comparable appliance, be sure and add juice or water to your blender to avoid overheating the motor.
Yum! All four boys love it, and it takes less than five minutes to make. You can add some honey if you prefer a sweeter smoothie.
